If you live in Ontario this might be a cool find for your insulator room

Not sure if it was a telegraphers chair or not, still pretty cool.

The seller has no other insulators though.
We hope to hook up in a week or so about the chair. It would be nice to have it for display at the OVIC show in April.
I'm not sure it's a real telegrapher's chair, just an old chair that's had insulators on it for some time.
Thanks for posting the link Jason. :)

The chair is currently in my possession! :D

I will post some pictures of it. The porcelains look like CPR's, but I'll have to see if they are the incuse style versus the ink stamp style. The dark aqua is a "B" 145, and the light blue is a Canpac [170]. The paint is very old, with the last coat being a very institutional blue grey, being applied at least 40 years ago. Underneath is a coat of white, and the original colour is a yellowy orange.

The chair has sparked interest amongst some train buffs in Ottawa as well, and I am going to use this an opportunity to get some of them down to the OVIC show.

Well, here it is!

Anyone have any opinions on restoration? The paint is almost falling off and I was thiking of stripping it and applying a clear stain. I'm guessing this was how it looked originally.

Note the wear on the side rails from someone resting a foot there for many years!

Leave it as is. In original condition it never had those insulators on the legs so if u are going to refinish it pointless to put the glass back on the legs.
