Moving in

Postby magic170 » Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:19 pm

Well the basement remodel or I guess reno as it was just a bare concrete basement is 98 percent done. I built one small shelving unit today and tommorow and rest of this week I plan on building the rest of my shelving units out of pine shelving should look good when it is done. Who wants to come over in 2 weeks and help me unpack my glass that has been in crates for 2 years.

Make it 3 months and I'll be there. Never can know whether a double of a nice piece might be available for sale or trade. ;)

I should Have all my shelving in place by this weekend. So if you guys want to come down to help unbox the collection you are more then welcome. Next week or the week after let me know am eager to get this stuff out and start looking at them again. Here is one small shelf I have built out of some spare pine I had kicking around put the only glass that is not crated up on the shelves. The next picture is three units I built this week for the one one I will build 2 possibly three more units for the adjacent wall to the left. I think I have about 600 insulators in the collection so might be tight. I will either have room for more glass or not enough room and some glass to get rid of it.

Fnally after alomst 2 years of being held captive in crates nad boxes my collection was freed. I will Thank Jerry M. for coming over and helping me unbox the collection. I just kept saying man I forgot I had that or I alomst bought one of those as I really wanted one and in the end had one already. A couple of the surprised I forgot I picked up before i boxed it all up were a midnight diamond pony, a yellow amber 214 telegrafos neat long teeth, a Milky blue 162.4 a super tough piece to get, a two tone gnw tel 145 purple dome skirt done steely blue colour, I could go on and on. My wife keeps giving me heck telling me is time to get out the the insulator room I spent about 8 hours in total in there yesterday alone. Here are some pictures of the finished product shelves almost full, have room for more though so that is a good thing. The small shelf with the commeratives is my wife's collection or should i say insulators she took from my collection. 2 full stands of 102's and then the main shelving units are where all the misscelanous stuff is.
