Russian Colour

I know this is a canadian insulator site but i was more than a little curious about those spectacular colored insulators that have been turning up all over the place. i believe they are CD 565.1 and 571.2. most of these are in vivid shades of cobalt blue but many are shades of cranberry and violet. i thought i heard some information that these were being made by a legitmate insulator company in russia especially for collectors! that would explain the crazy colours that collectors woud find attractive. this reminds me of the cobalt splotched 155 Kerrs that were made by collectors at the Kerr plant back in the late 1970s. these command big bucks now so i wonder if those russian beauties will be in big demand in the future....
