I've been trying to upload a pic for my avatar. Avatar must be between 0-10.00 KiB. The file I'm using is ;width 120 pixels X height 150 pixels which equals 10.00 KiB but won't upload. Does this mean the pic must be smaller than 10.00 KiB or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Reid,

It must be smaller than 10.

Try reducing the number of colours to 256 and/or saving the image as a .gif - it worked for me.

The width and height of the image has nothing to do with the size that it is referring to. I don't know how you get 10,240 as you say. 120 x 150 is 18,000, but again, that is not what the number is referring to. 10KiB is the size on disk of the image. Right click on the image on your disk, select "Properties..." and look at the "size" (not the size on disk). That needs to be 10,240 bytes or less. If you are having trouble with your image, email it as an attachment to me and I can probably fix it up for you and make it meet the criterion.
