Wondering if anyone has seen a Dominion cd154 with the <> & dominion - 42 as high up on the skirt as this one. Of all the other pieces I have this is the only one like it. Jerry Markewich, a collector of these cd's, from Saskatchewan first noticed it and mentioned that it was one he had never seen before. Lena, have you noticed this on any of your pieces?

Hey Reid, how about a picture? I had one watching the Super Bowl, but it was a different type of pitcher. :D

Shawn, I watched that game too,not very much on the N.F.L. but like to see the underdogs win. Added the pic that I thought was attached yesterday. Pete Beshara pointed out an article that he did on the piece in question at Insulators Canada so going to check that out.

One of my first questions is: Is there a number underneath/beside the <D> ? Could be an early Dominion-42 mold when they first started producing this embossing. Newer molds all had mold numbers, oui? What's the dimensions of the <D> location of your mystery piece? Might have to pull all mine out.

From the bottom of the drip to the bottom of the <D> is 13/16" and the lettering is 7/8" from the bottom drip. No mold number anywhere. Strange color too, the consensus at the Drumheller show last year was a lime/sage.

Hey, Reid!

Any chance of seeing a photo of the front of this one? I think I recognize the mould style, but I would need to see the front to be sure. I believe I have one of these at home.
All the best,

Without climbing up to my display window, I have 1 piece with a similar high embossing. It is a 2-tone green/peach specimen that I got from Barrett. The insulator is split vertically thru the center and shows the 2 colors quite well. The area where a number would be under the <> is missing. The bottom of the Dominion-42 embossing is at or above the top of the embossing on my other examples

Hello, Reid!

Thanks for the additional photos. I think I do have a piece like that at home, but I'll have to take a look when I'm home next.
All the best!

I have just come across a couple of pieces in my collection while sorting thru them that have the Dominion - 42 well above the normal skirt line as well as the rear diamond is higher than normal. Mine are a peach color with RDP.
