Heres a clear 1678 i got at springfield this year. I've never seen a clear one before, or at least not many so i got it. Old clear glass is always nice, so heres a picture.

Dad has a whole string of 1678's, ill have to take a peak and see if he has a clear one. I don't remember him having one that clear though.

Good eye and good pick up!

Hi All:
Some of these off clear / grey / SCA tint highdomes were used east of Ottawa on the telegraph lines.
Just a bit of trivia.

good to know,
At the show i saw a million straw colored ones, used to want one of them (still might be nice) but the clear was much cheaper. Some glass in the dome adds to it nicely.
Heres another one i got at the show, an unembosed 134 of sorts. Not canadian i dont think, just nice to look at.

Hi Bryan:
I'm pretty sure that is an unembossed "Oakman Style" 134. Certainly not found very often in Canada. Neat to have an example of this style / era of insulator.
