Gerry, you shamed me into cleaning it up

Here is another shot, next to a regular aqua for reference.

Sweet pieces, and like you say, some dynamic colours. I've got one around here somewhere, in a vibrant blue, maybe comparable to the 'Montreal' blue. That dark yellow green is awesome. Superior find, boys!!!!

I took some pics of the 3 that I own.

1. One of my fave insulators, teal green/blue with original tie wire. This one is the cleanest of the 3 as far as junk go.
2. Has button the top, has an amber inclusion
3. Has the button on the top and has nice amber and a big long polywog tail

As you can see all 3 are basically the same height, however I have seen a few in the taller mold which I think is more difficult.

Great looking pieces. Once my collection makes it out of storage I will have to ahvea look at the heights of my pieces.

The only place in Canada where they have been found in large numbers is east of Ottawa on the old Canada Atlantic line (now VIA). Another collecter plucked 15 in less than a mile, and I plucked 2 within 5 poles of each other about 3 miles west of where he found his. The ones I got were on the upper centre pin, usually across from a CREB 133. They can be hard to spot... This line was also known for hi-domes and Montreals... one high-dome remains on an excessively high pole!

If by hi-domes you mean 162.4s there are some still up on a line that runs north thru Saskatoon and towards the city of Prince Albert. I picked this line from the mid 70s untill recently. it had a real hodge poge of glass styles and colours. 143RBs in aqua and milky light yellow green,light yellow green 162.4 1678s,milky 143 standard,a few whittle sage green143s.Pulled down a 145 GNW in royal purple on the north edge of the city in 1974. Apparently Jim Mcleod pulled a bunch of 143 purple Can Pacs and those hard to get CNRs in purple farther north from where i picked.Anyways there still a few pieces up there but most of the good stuff is gone....

Yes, 162.4's. There are still some to be found on hydro lines in Hull Quebec, and many in Kingston ON as well. I even know where there is a nice orange amber CD168 in town

Sounds like a fantastic line! There is still good stuff on poles throughout eastern Ontario, although you won't find a purple in the air virtually anywhere. Come to think of it, I have never found a purple or even a broken purple on the ground, except the dome of a purple 102 in a dump.

Heres a nice Teal 133.2 with a bolt of amber through it.

Barrett, I found one like yours (although with a big crack in it) on the CASO/Michigan Central near us... yours may have come from that line too originally. Nice pics of your pieces, guys!
