Hi everybody! Anybody know anything about CD 120 RB Double thread. It seems this is a relatively new canadian insulator discovery(last 10 years). Ive searched Crown Jewels archive but came up empty on this one. I know there are a handfull of light aqua units kicking around but i think ive seen a pic of that cobalt blue one(what a bomb!) any info on who first found this item(or where they were used.)

Thanks for that information lee! i guess ill have to read all of Robins columns now! those 143s are sure iincredible though. I saw a mustard double thread 143 sell at a Klingensmith auction for $11,550 US!

I owned one of these 120's in light aqua in the mid-90's. It completed my set of all the Canadian RB's or MLAB's or hamilton bases, whatever you want to call them. I think it went to Jack Harynuk in 1999. One recently (within the last year) was for sale on ICON for around $500 if I remember correctly. A tough Canadian piece for sure...

Hi All:
These insulators seem to have been limited to Southern Ontario, based on where most of them seem to have been found. I did find one in an antique store in Eastern Ontario though. There could be any number of reasons why it ended up there though.
The cobalt version was found in Hamilton if I recall correctly.

Hello Robin,ive just been purusing that article that i mentioned in the may-june 96 copy of the Canadian Insulator Collector mag.the author(Tom Iannelli),states that his example came from a collector in London,Ont. also and that the 5 known examples(as you stated) all apparently came from southern Ontario.....

I am guessing there is more than 6 examples. But I could be wrong. I am surprised none of these turned up in saskatchewan as pretty much everything else has.

Hi neighbour! i think the saying is for every one found there are a hundred buried. i havent personally found a 102RB in Saskatchewan but i know others have. maybe the 120s are here too!

I,ve managed to find a 1/2 dozen 2 threads 143,s in a localized 10 mile area,and facts show that there also were telegragh lines also present,(1894) using ponies, and on old finds (102,s no emb canadain s) have been found,but no 120,s, would it be a fair statement to say they might of used the 120,s along with the 143,s( hope,n they were produced in the same time frame ,as well as used) Guess time will tell ;; Andy
