Lowly Winter Finds

How suiting that some of my only finds over the course of this long & cold winter have been filled with white stuff!

I hope everyone out there is keeping warm throughout all this winter weather. In an effort to warm things up, I figured I'd share some photos of these lowly winter finds. I don't know about you all, but I usually don't find anything during the winter. This year seems to have been an exception!
First up is a pretty nifty Diamond 102 that came out of a very small collection I took a look at. Fortunately, this wasn't one of those cases where I had to take all of the Dominion - 42s to get the one good piece. This time around, I was able to make a reasonable offer on the one piece that I wanted, and go home with it! This one is a [040] Diamond CD-102, with vertical bars on both skirts. It's a nice light aqua colour, and oddly enough has huge cottonball swathes of milk, amber, and bubbles running all around the dome! For an aqua diamond pony, this one is pretty neat! As an added bonus, this one is pretty much mint condition!

The second piece is equally nifty in terms of junk. I found this one in a small antique market while going for an idle Sunday drive with my girlfriend, Cassie. She actually spotted it before I did. This one is a light aqua G.N.W. TEL. CO. CD-145 with the G.T.P. blotout, and absolutely filled with milky swirls. There is even a nice amber splotch right behind the front wire groove! This one has quite a lot of chipping on the inner skirt, but it's a neat one none the less!

Two neat pieces, Barrett.
