Medalta Mud

Postby daverosy » Sun May 13, 2012 1:57 pm

G'day folks,,, long time....
Got these gifted yesterday for helping a guy price a bunch of other glass (mostly American stuff).

The CPR STANDARD has a gimpy pinhole.

The round base CANPAC is milky.

The Medalta mud is a rare one.
(I read Robin's article from a while back, but I'd like to know more about this one... also what do they go for?)

The American is ambered up to the point that I'd call it almost 2-tone.

The 1871 bullet is off-clear and fizzy.

It's nice treat after a long dry spell.

Great bunch of glass, Dave. That 145 American is pretty amazing and would probably make someone want to do backflips if they turned it up. While I'm not nuts about American glass, there are some awfully nice pieces in that category!
That being said, I think my favourite piece is the Medalta 'hive with the metal top. I remember Robin's article and I'd love to know more about the value of such a piece as well. When you find out, share some information here. That's a cool find!

Nice gift!

Mark Laukner priced these at $50-75 in his value and rarity guide, back in '95.
