Howdy 69 Reid,

The piece you have does appear to have Aussie threads. There are three thread sizes used in Australia; US Standard, UK 'cordeau' standard, trunk (found on U-1156, CD 430 etc.), subscriber/LV (used on CD 423, U-1493 etc.) and med. voltage (found on U-1502, CD 490 etc). Judging by your dimensions, I'd say the pinhole is the subscriber size.

The logo on your piece definately appears to be Taylor Tuncliff, located in the United Kindgom.

I might add, that the glazing appears to be very similar to the white/off white glazing found on Aussie and British insulators.
